haku pora

Haku Pora means “it’s prettly hot” and explores heat not as a nostalgic sensation, but as a relentless force linked to forced displacements caused by climate change. Inspired by her experiences between Paraguay and Montreal, Riesbri presents an installation made from reclaimed materials, notably sourced from a public project for the REM. Hand warmers and recycled wood are repurposed to address themes of home, survival, and environmental collapse, while emphasizing the importance of reuse from an ecological and decolonial perspective.
