la fumigadora
During my residency in Paraguay, I was struck by the abundance of mosquitos and the threat of diseases like dengue. This situation has led to the creation of jobs like the fumigador, someone who sprays chemicals to kill mosquitos and reduce the spread of these illnesses. The painting explores how people have had to adapt to these conditions, highlighting the role of the fumigador as both a protector of public health and a symbol of the challenges posed by the environment.
